30 Day Blogging Challenge

Day One of my 30 Day Blogging Challenge, by Percy Pimpington.

30 day blogging challenge

First things first, this isn’t day one at all.

I purchased this domain on August 20th, 2017. As I write this blog post, it’s August 23rd.

Once I’d registered the domain and hooked it up to my hosting, I created my first blog post. So I guess I did day one without realizing. Then, day two came and I wrote another article. It was at this point when I realized, hey, I’m on to something here.

I’m no blogging newbie. I created my first blog many, many years ago. In fact, I created multiple blogs. Looking back, the only one that was successful, was the one which I posted daily content to. So, that’s what I decided to do, a 30 Day Blogging Challenge.

Without thinking, I googled that search term and to my surprise, I saw that this was actually a thing and that people all over the world were also embarking on this challenge.

Now, I’m not following any blueprints or guides. I’m simply going to write a blog post every day for 30 days, then reflect.

I’ve been out of the blogging world for a while, but I know that the current state of Google and SEO (search engine optimisation) is pretty darn slow, compared to when I first got started.

This is why I believe the 30-day blogging challenge is the perfect way of creating your blogging foundations.

If you follow any so called Guru’s on the internet, there is a common myth which states there is a “sandbox” on new websites, which they believe to be around 30 days.

In an effort to try and combat spam, Google has allegedly put a hold on all new websites to determine if they reach their content guidelines (or so they the guru’s say).

If I create a blog post every day, surely this will signal to Google that my blog is legit?

Well, I guess we will see about that, only time will tell.

So as it sits right now, I’m technically on Day Three (day 3 of my blogging challenge). I’ve got two blog posts live already (not counting this one). I will write another post, later on, today which will bring my total to three posts.

In 27 days time, I will make a new post which will allow me to reflect and also to share any results (if any) that I’ve gotten, this will be things such as current rankings, traffic and so on.

It will also allow me to test out the sandbox claim.

So, be sure to check-in with yo boy Percy P the Passive Profit Pimp on September 20th where this 30-day blogging challenge will reach its pinnacle!
